Campfire Baked Apples

There are few things more amazing than warm, gooey apples stuffed with all sorts of delicious things and baked over the campfire. The fact that this decadent dessert is healthy and gluten free just makes it even better! You can get creative with the filling to cater to everyone’s tastes!

Ingredients:
Apples
Lemon juice
Cinnamon
Butter
Sugar (or sweetener)
Dried cranberries
Walnuts
Raisins

Directions:
1. Core each apple without breaking them
2. Mix together cranberries, raisins, and nuts with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and cinnamon/sugar to taste
3. Fill the apples, place one pad of button on top of the apple and filling, then wrap in tinfoil.
place over the campfire or next to the coals for 30mins-1hour (until the apples are soft but not mushy)
4. Cut into pieces and top with a caramel drizzle, whipped cream, or any other topping you may enjoy!
