Campfire Chili Cheese Fries

Everyone has to take a break from their diet once and while, especially when this treat is going to taste so delicious. Camping allows us to let loose, relax, and enjoy the smaller things in life (like the small amount of guilt you might have after eating an entire packet of these things!) These foil packet chili fries are the perfect snack, appetizer, lunch, dinner, side dish, you name it. They’ll be a hit with everyone, you can top them which just about anything to meet even the pickiest eater’s preferences, and the best part: you can cook them over the fire!

1 small package frozen french fries (not huge family size unless you have a huge family or know someone with a huge appetite!)
1 tsp of garlic powder or any other of your favorite seasoning
1 can of chili
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
crumbled bacon (optional but totally worth it)

1.Spray the inside of a large doubled-up sheet of foil with cooking spray.
2.Place the frozen fries in the middle of the sheet; fold to enclose.
3.Cook the fries on your BBQ or over a campfire until they are cooked – around 15-20 minutes.
4.Spread the chili and cheese over the fries along with any other ingredients you’re adding.
5.Close the packet again and cook until the chili is hot and the cheese has melted.
6.Remove, cool slightly and enjoy!

Happy Camping!
