Campfire Spinach Dip

Appetizers can feed a crowd and keep everyone at bay until dinner is ready. They can also make a great after dinner snack! When you are sitting around playing board games at your campsite or enjoying some small talk around the fire, or even playing some lawn games with friends try this campfire-cooked appetizer that is sure to satisfy and keep them coming back for more!

Ingredients:

250ml {1 cup} sour cream
250g {1 pkg} cream cheese {room temperature}
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup chopped, frozen spinach {drained}

Optional: vegetable soup mix, bacon, garlic, mozzarella cheese, green onions, artichoke hearts etc.

Instructions:

Mix all of the ingredients together in a container.
Let sit in the refrigerator for 4 hours (you can prepare this before you come camping so it is ready to cook when you arrive!)
Create a tin foil packet by layering two pieces of aluminum foil and placing the dip mixture in the center. A few layers of foil will help to protect the dip from burning and the packet from tearing open. (You can also use the foil bowls!)
Roll up the ends of the foil and bake in the campfire {near the hot coals but not in the fire} for 20-25 minutes or until warm and bubbly!
