Hot apple cider on a chilly fall day or on a cool fall evening is one of the best treats of the season. Sure, heating up some bottled cider in the microwave could work, but some of the best moments are smelling the sweet apple scent mixed with cinnamon and anticipating that hot mug full of fresh cider later on. No one wants to spend an entire day of their camping trip making cider, there are way too many other fun activities to do! So try this recipe, using the Crockpot, and have that sweet cider simmering when you get back from your day of adventures!
8 cups (or 64 oz) Apple Cider (Use fresh apple cider for the best results!)
1 Tablespoon ground Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon ground cloves
3 Tablespoons Caramel Sauce (You can put more but we find 4 is plenty, sometimes I scale that back a little)
Optional: Cinnamon sticks for serving
1) Mix all ingredients together in your crockpot
2) Cook on low for 5 hours
3) Serve with a cinnamon stick!
