Mindfulness with Animals

April 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us at the Animal Barn as we sit with the animals and practice a complimentary guided “Mindfulness with Animals” class.  This unique 1-hour opportunity to be surrounded by donkeys, goats, and sheep is open to adults 18 and over and is intended to reduce stress and anxiety.

Mindfulness refers to the practice of being fully present in the moment. It involves focusing on the here and now, allowing individuals to become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and surroundings without judgment. This mental state encourages a greater appreciation for life and can lead to a more peaceful existence.

Mindfulness can be practiced through various techniques including meditation, breathing exercises, and engaging fully in daily activities. It is not just about quieting the mind; it is about recognizing thoughts and feelings while maintaining an open and understanding attitude.

Animals can play a significant role in cultivating mindfulness in everyday life. Their presence encourages individuals to focus on the present moment, providing a unique opportunity to cultivate awareness and tranquility.

This class is free; however, advance sign up is required, class limited to 10.  Please note, drinks and food are not permitted in the barn or paddocks.
