Pilgrim Cupcakes

Only 3 more days until Thanksgiving! Despite my last post being catered toward healthy living and active lifestyles, I can’t help but post something cute and delicious for this week. Dessert is always a good item to bring to your family’s house when attending Thanksgiving dinner. Sure, you could bring the usual apple or pumpkin pie, or maybe some cookies if you’re really struggling for ideas, but I think that you should make Pilgrim Cupcakes this year. They are really easy and incredibly cute and festive. I made them last Thanksgiving and they were a hit! Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Cupcake mix (whichever flavor you’d like, I chose chocolate!)
  • Frosting, homemade or store-bought (I chose vanilla buttercream!)
  • Keebler Fudge Stripe Cookies
  • Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups
  • Small tubes of decorative frosting (red, yellow, and black)pilgrim cupcake

Directions:

  • Bake the cupcakes, let them cool, and then frost generously!
  • To make the hats, take 1 Keebler Fudge Striped Cookie and place a small amount of decorating frosting around the center. Then place the Reese’s Mini Cup upside-down over the hole. Once the Reece’s is stuck on, finish the hat by lining the edge of the Reese’s with red frosting and adding a yellow buckle to the front of the Reece’s!
  • Once the hats are finished, place them on top of the frosting and use the black decorative frosting to draw a face!
